SDFN's work is mostly associated with affordable house construction, but low-income houses can only be built if affordable land is available. The allocation of suitable land is a major stumbling block for low-income households to build their own houses and it is limiting the country to scale up its housing delivery. Till this day one of the main challenges that the members of the Shack Dwellers Federation encounter are their ability to secure land tenure.
